ANDREW K CURREY
Andrew K Currey is an exhibiting fine artist, comic cover artist, and teacher, who specializes in pencil drawing, and currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
Andrew studied at the University of North Texas, and continued with his graduate studies at OTIS College of Art and Design. Andrew restored 15th, 16th, and 17th century paintings in Florence, Italy, for the Catholic Church with the Lorenzo Di Medici School, and later studied the medieval gold leafing techniques of illuminated manuscripts as the artist-in-residence of Shankill Castle in Ireland.
Andrew made his debut in the comic industry as a variant cover artist with Boom! Studios, working on titles such as; ‘BRZRKR’, ‘Something is Killing The Children’, ‘House of Slaughter’, and ‘Grim'. Other titles Andrew has worked on as a cover artist include; ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ for IDW, ‘Universal Monsters: Dracula’, and ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon Lives’ for Skybound Entertainment/Image Comics, and ‘W0rldTr33’ for Image Comics.
